Scientific Method Thing

1. Introduction
Problem:

Hypothesis: When we go to Taco Bell in Middletown, we will see an arrangement of       cheaper cars.

Prediction: If the food at the restaurant is cheaper, then there will be a more abundant amount of cheap car brands.

2. Materials and Methods

On free time, Savannah and I will go to Taco Bell together for two days in a row at the same time and record a total of 85 cars they that see in the categories of:
         Chevy-
         Ford-
         Dodge-
         Jeep-
         GMC-
         Honda-
         VW-
         Kia-
         Toyota-
         Other-
After we have recorded our data, Brittany will go to Taco Bell at the same time for the next three days and record a total of 100 cars that she sees in the same categories.

To record this data while eating at the restaurant, each partner will sit by a window to watch the cars as they leave the drive thru. Data will be recorded in a notebook or on a phone.

3. Results
Savannah and I got the results of:

       Brittany got the results of:

Together we got the results of:
Conclusion: We would suggest that Taco Bell try to advertise Chevrolet. Based on our data, more people with Chevy vehicles would go through the drive-thru of Taco Bell. Many other types of car companies seemed to go through too, but there was a variety of different cars in our "Other" category.

4. Discussion

Our data could be off because if you try this experiment in a different city or country,  the majority of people there might not eat as much fast food as the area that we recorded, or they could eat more.

One variable that could change the outcome in another experiment could be the price of the food. If the restaurant has high prices for their food, less people might eat there, and if they are cheap, more people might eat there.

Another variable that could change the outcome is the amount of money that people make in the city or country you are testing. If the majority of people in that city or country make a lot of money, you could see more expensive cars going through the drive thru or you might not see many people go through the drive thru at all. People with more money might eat at fancy restaurants more often. Another variable that could change the outcome if tested is the type of people that live in the city or country you are testing. If the city/country you are testing has many poor people or lazy people, you might see much more people going through the drive thru.
